aRTIST: gABRIEL oROZCO
tITLE: mY hANDS ARE MY HEART
The third graders visually analyzed artist Gabriel Orozco's artwork entitled "My hands are my heart." Orozco's work reflects deep thinking he has done about life and love and the role art plays in all of this. The photo shows two moments of time: a man holds a piece of soft clay between his hands and in front of his heart, squeezing it into shape with his hands. In the second photo, the artist opens his hands to reveal the shape his hands have impressed: it looks like a heart. This heart was then fired and included in the display of artwork along with the photo above.
