Gina Kostovetsky
I made my artwork by drawing my face. I used a pencil and shaded my face as much as I could. I only drew half of my face because I liked how the left half of it looked. Next, I decided to draw a volleyball court to the left of my face, and I also decided to draw a piano on top, because I have been playing piano for over 10 years. I made the background out of Hard Charcoal pencil. and made my sweater watercolor. The rest was done in Prismacolor Pencil and also some graphic pencils to accent my hair.
This artwork means a lot to me because I love volleyball piano and gradient watercolors. All of these things are featured in my artwork and mean a lot to me because my life revolves around volleyball and music. I drew this on a small piece of flawboard because I liked the texture and the color of the background and I was able to make a lot of detail. I was inspired to do the half a face because that was what the selfie I chose looked like. I liked that selfie and I drew it, and it ended up looking almost like the original.
